Improvement Science Day

Improvement Science Day

A day for sharing experiences about research in quality improvement, leadership and patient safety in health and welfare.

Hosted by: Jönköping Academy for improvement of Health and Welfare.
Time and place: 29 February 2024, 9.00 - 16.00, School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping University (Hälsohögskolan).

During this day we will meet to share experiences and learnings from research work in quality improvement, leadership, co-production and patient safety in health and welfare. We invite PhD-students and junior researchers in the field to submit abstracts for short oral presentations about recent or ongoing projects. We invite PhD-students, master students, researchers and anyone interested to participate in the event.

The day will include a blend of oral presentations, poster presentations by master students including a poster walk, networking, and keynote lectures. We aim to have an open and familiar environment where we share experiences and knowledge with each other. All presentations will be given in English, but Swenglish is accepted as well as Swedish moments.

Invited speakers will give energizing talks that will inspire and guide future research work. PhD students will present recent or ongoing studies as a short oral presentation. The students from the Master’s program in quality improvement and leadership (given by School of Health and Welfare in collaboration with Jönköping Academy for improvement of Health and welfare) will present posters about their ongoing theses.

Invited speakers:
Jeffrey Braithwaite, professor, Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Sydney, Australia
Helen Bevan, Professor, Warwick Business School, UK
