Charlotta Nilsen är filosofie doktor i medicinsk vetenskap och universitetslektor i gerontologi vid Institutet för gerontologi. Hennes grundutbildning är i folkhälsovetenskap med en magister i gerontologi. Hon tillhör forskningsmiljön ARN-J (Aging research Network - Jönköping) vid Jönköping University. Hon är även anknuten forskare till Stressforskningsinstitutet, Stockholms universitet och Aging Research Center (ARC), Karolinska Institutet/Stockholms universitet.

Undervisning

Charlotta Nilsen är kursansvarig för tre kurser: 1) ‘Vetenskapsteori och vetenskaplig metod’, 15hp, avancerad nivå, Jönköping University, 2) 'Gerontologi, examensarbete', 15hp, avancerad nivå, Jönköping University, 3) ‘Public health implications of an aging population’, 3hp, doktorandkurs, Karolinska Institutet. Hon är även föreläsare i kursen ‘Åldrande och hälsa’, Jönköping University. Hon är examinator för kurserna ‘Ageing in a Welfare State’ 10hp och 'Gerontologi - perspektiv, teori och metod' 7.5hp, Jönköping University.

Övriga uppdrag

Charlotta Nilsen är programansvarig för magisterprogrammet i gerontologi vid institutet för gerontologi (IFG). Hon är även koordinator för forskarnätverket SAIN (SWEAH Alumni Interdisciplinära Nätverk). Hon sitter även med i ogranisationskommittén för kommande konferensen: NKG 2024.
