Congratulations to Marcela Ramirez-Pasillas

JIBS is one of the founders of the STEP research project. The STEP Project focuses on integrating entrepreneurship and family business academics and multigenerational family businesses in understanding Successful Transgenerational Entrepreneurship Practices. JIBS's founding team was integrated by Leif Melin, Mattias Nordqvist, and Ethel Brundin. Leif Melin was member of the Global STEP Board from 2010 to 2012 where he contributed in strengthening the links among partnering universities. Mattias Nordqvist was Co-Director of the Latin American Chapter from 2007-2009. During these years he helped advanced the work of the STEP Latin American Chapter. Ethel Brundin contributed as a member of the European STEP Council from 2010 to 2012. She has developed a collaboration with the University of the Western Cape (UWC) in South Africa where she has conducted joint research projects on South African family firms. She works to support women entrepreneurship in South Africa. CeFEO has developed a number of cases of Swedish family businesses and has published research papers on a variety of topics. Marcela joined the JIBS’s team in 2012.
