Opening hours during Easter
On Thursday 1 April, Jönköping University is open until 14:00. During the Easter weekend, the university will be closed and opens again on Tuesday 6 April.

Swedish universities sign collaboration agreement
On Friday, 26 March, the presidents of Chalmers University of Technology, University of Gothenburg, University of Borås, University of Skövde, University West and Jönköping University signed an agreement on alliance cooperation. The collaboration is called University Network of West Sweden, and the goal is to develop the quality and diversity of the parties' operations.

Lights out during Earth Hour
On Saturday, 27 March, the lights on campus will be turned off for the annual Earth Hour at 20.30-21.30.

Four new master’s programmes at School of Engineering this autumn
The School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) will start four new master’s programmes this fall.“What makes our master’s programmes unique is our close collaboration with the business community,” says Patrik Cannmo, Associate Dean of Education at JTH.

Jönköping University appoints four new honorary doctors
The President of Jönköping University has announced the appointment of four new honorary doctors. Those to be appointed are Professor Luis Gomez-Mejia, Reader Sue Waite, Professor Trish Greenhalgh and Per Jansson, owner and CEO of Comptech AB. The conferment of this year’s honorary doctors will take place on 25 September 2021 at Jönköping University’s academic ceremony.

First in Sweden with approved revision of HR certification
As the first university in Sweden, Jönköping University (JU) has passed the first revision of the development work that is done within the framework of the EU Commission's certification "HR Excellence in Research" which JU received in December 2018.

Launch of industrial graduate school Smart Industry Sweden
On March 15, the industrial graduate school Smart Industry Sweden will be launched. Sixteen doctoral students will contribute to industrial technology development for twelve Swedish companies. Jönköping University (JU) is one of five universities participating in Smart Sweden Industry.

Popular entrepreneurship challenge celebrates 10 years
On 12 April, students from Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) and the School of Engineering at Jönköping University (JU) will compete online in a 24-hour innovation race, for a prize pool of 130,000 SEK. This year is the 10th anniversary of the challenge, and the students will be asked to solve a real-life case presented to them by IKEA.

Welcome to attend Sustainability Conversations
On 17 March between 12-13, a series of digital lunch events that focuses on the transition to a more sustainable society called Sustainability Conversations premieres. The ambition of the event series is to provide a platform where guest speakers, students, researchers, and an interested general public can share knowledge, experiences and thoughts about sustainability in a multidisciplinary environment. The events are organized by Jönköping University Sustainability Network (JUSN).
