  • Several from JU participate in literature festival


    Småland's literature festival - SmåLit - runs for four days and is filled with inspiration, author talks, culture, debates, performing arts and a book fair. This year, the festival will be held from 1-4 February in Eksjö, Tranås, Värnamo and Jönköping. Three researchers from the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU) and a staff member from University Services will participate in the festival.

  • 2,000 high school students visited JU's higher education fair


    High school students at the education fair ‘Framtidsmässan’ at Campus Arena, Jönköping University. About 2,000 high school students from the municipality of Jönköping visited the education fair ‘Framtidsmässan’ at Campus Arena, Jönköping University on 25 January. The students got to hear from 30 universities and other education coordinators about what they can study after school.

  • JU professor dines with the royal family


    On Friday, January 20, the royal family hosted Sverigemiddagen (Sweden's royal dinner) at the Royal Palace. This year's dinner opened the jubilee year 2023, which marks HM the King's 50 years on the throne and the 500th anniversary of the crowning of Gustav Vasa as King of Sweden. One of the invited guests was Charlotta Mellander, Professor in Economics at Jönköping International Business School.

  • New students arrived at Jönköping University


    Filippa Ekblad and Maja Lindström, who study Basic Science Semester at the School of Engineering with the programme manager Christer Magnusson. The spring semester has begun and new students have arrived at Jönköping University (JU). On January 16, the Nursing programme and the Social Work programme started at the School of Health and Welfare, as well as the Basic Science semester at the School of Engineering (JTH).

    On Friday 20 January, students who have studied nursing, social work, and specialist nursing at the School of Health and Welfare (HHJ) and School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University were examined. Congratulations!

  • New semester for Public Lectures (Offentliga föreläsningar)


    Bild på programmet During the spring, you can listen to eight interesting lectures in the lecture series Public Lectures (Offentliga föreläsningar) at Jönköping University. The public and all interested parties can take part in these popular science lectures, completely free of charge. The first in the series takes place on Thursday 26 January.
    The lectures are only held in Swedish.

  • Future nurses and social workers ready for working life

Friday, January 20 is graduation day at the School of Health and Welfare at Jönköping University (JU) for the nursing and social work programmes. Several of the graduating students have already secured a job.

  • Jönköping University is granted more than SEK 94 million for eleven Higher Vocational Educational programmes


    Power lines. Jönköping University (JU) has received SEK 94 381 000 from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education to start eleven programmes in the autumn of 2023. The education is based on concrete skills needed by the region's employers, who have also been involved in developing the programmes’ structure and content.
