  • Jönköping University delivers the most theses on entrepreneurship and innovation in Sweden


    Despite the pandemic, innovation and entrepreneurship research in Sweden has maintained a healthy output. What is more, Jönköping University has delivered the highest amount of theses in this field of research out of all Swedish higher education institutions under 2020 and 2021. This was highlighted last week in ESBRI's list of theses in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
  • Aktiestinsen’s foundation distributed SEK 144,000 to two projects

On January 25, the annual scholarship announcement from Aktiestinsen Lennart Israelsson’s Foundation at the School of Health and Welfare, Jönköping University, had its award ceremony. The foundation distributed just over SEK 144,000 to two projects at the ceremony, which this year was digital.
  • Great interest in new dental education


    Three representatives of the dental initiative. On Monday 24 January, local politicians, regional councilors, and other stakeholders attended a digital information meeting on Jönköping University's application for dental education and the vision of a dental centre. The meeting was organised by Jönköping University, Region Jönköping County and Linköping University.
  • New semester for Public Lectures (Offentliga föreläsningar)


    Bild på campus. During the spring, you can listen to eight interesting lectures in the lecture series Public Lectures (Offentliga föreläsningar) at Jönköping University. The public and all interested parties can take part in these popular science lectures, which focus on inclusion this spring, completely free of charge. The first in the series takes place already on Thursday 27 January. The lectures are only held in Swedish.
  • Two JU students listed among Sweden’s most influential sustainability profiles


    Every year, the Swedish Journal “Aktuell Hållbarhet” lists the most influential young talents under the age of 33 that, in one way or another, have already made an imprint in the area of sustainability. The list contains activists, lawyers, researchers, engineers and others. Two of the talents on the latest list, presented at the beginning of December 2021, are students from the Sustainable Enterprise Development programme at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS).
  • Congratulations to all newly graduated students!


    On Friday 21 January, graduates from the Nursing, Social work and Specialist Nursing programmes at The School of Health and Welfare, and students from the Preschool Teacher Education programme and the Complementary Pedagogical Education programme at the School of Education and Communication at Jönköping University took part in online graduation ceremonies to celebrate the end of their studies. Jönköping University congratulates them all!
  • Buy smaller houses to reduce energy consumption

  • The School of Engineering educates companies in Thailand


    Roy Andersson, Associate Dean of Internationalisation at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University. The School of Engineering (JTH) at Jönköping University (JU) is conducting commissioned education for Swedish and Thai companies in Thailand this spring. This is done in collaboration with the University of Skövde. It is part of the collaboration project INSA (Internationalization of collaboration) and is funded by VINNOVA.
  • New Higher Vocational Education this fall

The Department of Higher Vocational Education at the School of Engineering, Jönköping University will start six technology programmes this fall, of which the Production, e-commerce and warehouse logistics programme is completely new. For this, SEK 36 million has been approved from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Vocational Education (MYH).
  • Jönköping University to grow with new centre for dental care


    Illustration of the new buildings On 12 January, Jönköping University’s property company HÖFAB will submit planning documents prior to a decision on consultation to the city planning committee in Jönköping municipality. The new construction plans include building a centre for dentistry and oral health science, as well as preparing a place for a dental education.
