  • Jönköping University best for work-based education… again


    For the second year in a row, Jönköping University (JU) has received the highest grade when just over 1,000 students rated their work-based education (VFU). "The country's other higher education institutions should be inspired by how successfully Jönköping University sets up its students' VFU, together with healthcare employers," says Anja Basic, Chair of the Student Healthcare Association (Vårdförbundet).
  • A record number came to visit PrevJU


    PrevJu in the auditorium On May 21 it was time for PrevJU which was held at Jönköping University (JU). The event was dedicated to prospective students who have applied to JU as their first, second or third choice. 450 registered and HLK's auditorium was filled with record numbers.
  • JU-student wins silver at the Swedish National Skills Competition.


    Alexander and Saga poses with their medals On 10th–12th of May, JU-student Alexander Aronsson competed at the Swedish National Skills Competition in Växjö. After a nail-biting finish, he finished at a well-deserved second place.
  • Students to present their degree projects at Xjobbsmässan


    Xjobbsmässan at Campus Arena, Jönköping University. During Xjobbsmässan (the Xjob fair) on 3 June at Campus Arena, the final year students at the School of Engineering (JTH), Jönköping University (JU), will present their degree projects for among others the regional business community. The fair will take place at Campus Arena and the last day to register is 27 May.
  • JU student broadcasts news in Ukrainian for refugees

Karl Volkohon is studying in his second and final year of the master's program Sustainable Communication at the School of Education and Communication (HLK) at Jönköping University (JU). Karl is from Ukraine and came to Jönköping and JU to start his education in August 2020. Now he broadcasts Swedish news in Ukrainian to fellow Ukrainians living in Sweden.

This year, two students from Jönköping University (JU) participated - and it was a success with one team gold and two individual medals.
  • Jönköping University appoints three honorary doctors


    Hat ceremony Three new honorary doctors have been appointed by JU’s President Agneta Marell. Professor B.M Golam Kibria, Christer Davidsson and Sven-Eric Stenfors will be conferred at the university’s Academic Ceremony on 8 October.
  • More than 100,000 downloads of new industrial policy book


    The research anthology "Questioning the Entrepreneurial State", with Christian Sandström, Assistant Professor at Jönköping International Business School, Jönköping University, as one of two editors, has been downloaded 106,000 times in two weeks. In the anthology, several leading economists warn against the state's industrial and innovation policy – which they claim lacks scientific support and costs billions of tax dollars.
  • JU students compete in horse-riding championship


    Häst, ryttare, tävling Every year, the equestrian sports Swedish Championship for Students is arranged where a Swedish champion in dressage and show-jumping is crowned. Two students from Jönköping University (JU) will participate in this year's event.
