The course gives an introduction to technical terms and methodology related to solid modelling. The main focus in the course is to offer practical training in solid modelling with SolidWorks or Pro/ENGINEER (or an equivalent software).

To give the student a basic CAD knowledge that can be used within the field of product
development. The course gives an introduction to technical terms and methodology related to solid
modelling. The main focus in the course is to offer practical training in solid modelling with
SolidWorks or Pro/ENGINEER (or an equivalent software).
The course is given in English and contains the following;:
- Geometrical representation
- Neutral CAD file formats
- Technical terms and methodology related to solid modelling of parts
- Assemblies of parts
- Drawings of parts/assemblies
- Photo rendering
- Mechanisms/CAE
- Project tasks/hand in assignments
