Rheocasting - overview and comparison between processes
High integrity castings are growing in importance as the use of castings will find its way to mroe and more challenging applications. The new requirements on strengths, ductility and pososity management are dramatically increasing. The question now is “Are you prepared for the coming requirements on cast components?”. Rheocasting is a rapidly advancing complementary process offering qualtity improvements compared to HPDC processing and a productivity far beyond gravity die-casting.
In this webinar we will give the an introduction to the processing conditions and compare the three leading processes, GISS, RheoMetal and SEDD processes. There will also be a discussion on the experiences in changing production from conventional HPDC to Rheocasting with examples from the GISS process.
