Routes to high integrity casting - a process overview
High integrity castings are growing in importance as the use of castings will find its way to mroe and more challenging applications. Examples of this is the Tesla large structural castings and the large actings used for 5G telecom application. The requirements on strengths, ductility and pososity management are dramatically increasing. The question now is “Are you prepared for the coming requirements on cast components. Have you ever wondered, what processes are there? How do I work with sensors for best possible properties?" and so forth.
In this webinar we will discuss the the different methods and processes to create high integrity castings. Different ways to use sensing for process and quality improvement are discussed.
Date: Mar. 23, 2021
Time: 10:00-11:00 (+ 30 min group discussion and networking)
After attending this webinar you will know more about:
- The processes available for high integrity castings
- The ways pressure is used for improving part integrity
- Viscoity modification of the melt.
- Sensing and sensor usage in high integrity casting
