Development of an induction percolator
This thesis explores how new technology and design can implemented for the standard percolator.
Percolators come in two varieties: stovetop and electric. They function in much the same way, but with different heat sources. An electric coffee percolator contains an electric heating element in its base and must be plugged into a power outlet. A stovetop percolator, on the other hand, requires an external heat source, such as a stove or flame.
The purpose of this thesis is to design an induction percolator for C3. This new technology needs to work with the help of magnetic fields and there are sustain points that needs to be considered and researched. How can a copper coil be implemented and how can the new technology be switched off at the specified temperature?
