Scania is on a path to drive the shift towards a sustainable transport system. This means that the company will go from being a supplier of trucks and busses to supplying transport solutions for its customers. To manage the challenge, Scania is implementing a circular mindset.

To support charging of various cab devices, such as phone chargers and external fans etc,
A concept of Solar Panels have been developed together with Scania CV in order to investigate how Solar Cells can be used as Accessories to their trucks.

The developed Solar Panel Accessory follows the characteristics of the Roof Air Deflector, having little to none impact of the intentional design and aerodynamics.
Depending on type of air deflector, up to 340W of renewable energy can be generated by the Solar Panel.
