How can I, as a teacher, best utilize analogue/digital and synchronous/asynchronous elements in my teaching to increase flexibility and accessibility? Consciously using a mixture of analogue/digital and synchronous/asynchronous elements in teaching opens up new possibilities, such as reaching new student groups and contributing to sustainable, flexible and lifelong learning. But for the teaching to work well, the pedagogy needs to be designed in a way that activates and engages students and supports learning, inclusion and collaboration across spatial and analogue-digital boundaries.
The workshop focuses on work with concrete teaching design in your own subject. Based on who your students are and what you want them to be able to learn, you get to work with flexibility in teaching design to support learning. In a structured way, you go through analogue/digital and synchronous/asynchronous opportunities that can support what you want to achieve. The workshop is based on collegial learning across subject boundaries.
The workshop builds on an introductory theoretical seminar Teaching in hybrid and mixed learning environments - teaching in different ways for increased flexibility. To get the most out of the workshop, you should also attend the seminar.
Horizontal aims for Educate activities
The horizontal aims are to empower and enable teachers to solve problems in pedagogical environments, promote and participate in peer learning and co-creation, and expand their pedagogical repertoire to facilitate lifelong learning.
