Welcome to the JU teaching labs!

After the inauguration of the teaching labs, you are now welcome to book an appointment for coaching on how to use them!

On January 30, we had the pleasure of inaugurating the new teaching labs in the library together with the President of JU and about a hundred colleagues.

Central to the work with the labs has been a desire to support student active learning, flexibility, participation and accessibility.

Educate offers two rooms designed for active learning with hybrid solutions (ALH rooms). The possibilities of use are flexible. The pedagogical aims decide, says Jenny Madsen. For example, you can teach on site without technology but with flexible furnishing that supports student active learning. But you can also add a projector, student screens on the walls and one or two hybrid solutions with zoom rooms.

We also offer a Do-it-yourself recording studio in the library. You can record yourself or an interview/discussion with another person and also edit what you recorded. The studio has professional light, sound and camera for the production of course material, says Joakim Staf. The studio can also be used for streaming.

Now you are welcome to book an appointment for coaching on how to use the teaching labs!

You can also schedule time for your own teaching in one of the ALH rooms for a test or for a course session.
