Warning for phishing

A reminder to pay attention to links and attachments in emails.

As always, you need to pay attention to the sender of emails that contain links or attachments, even if the name seems to be someone you know. The display name in an email is easy to fake. Never click on links or attachments if you are unsure of the sender. If you receive fake emails, use the reporting feature in Outlook. You will find it in the menu bar in the received email.

What is phishing?

Phishing is one of the most common attack methods today. The method involves tricking the recipient into opening a document, visiting a website, or downloading a file via email, SMS, or chat services. The goal is to infect the device with malicious code and/or get high level permissions as a first step in a more comprehensive attack.
